Being a slave to feminist theory is objectification. <br /><br />Self-empowerment on the other hand, is the rejection of norms on others' terms - be they social, political, religious, aesthetic etc. Norms should be selectively embraced on one's own terms. They should be conducive to the positive evolution of the self and/or any extensions thereof.<br /><br />Is Lady Ga Ga self-empowered or objectified?
